Seven Generations Collective is governed by a founding Board of Directors committed to protecting the organization’s charitable purpose, supporting responsible growth, and stewarding decisions with care for the generations that follow.

Kayla Wisniewski

Founding President & CEO

Kayla Wisniewski (Barnas)

Kayla Wisniewski brings more than 17 years of healthcare experience across clinical operations, behavioral design, data analysis, and organizational strategy. Her work has focused on improving service delivery, strengthening systems, and supporting person-centered approaches that make care more accessible and sustainable.

As Founder, President & CEO, Kayla leads Seven Generations Collective’s early-stage vision, partnerships, governance development, and program design. Her work is rooted in applied psychology, lived experience, developmental dignity, and a commitment to addressing support gaps for children, caregivers, and families when they matter most.

Kayla relocated to the Dowagiac/Sister Lakes area in 2001 and is now raising her family in the community she has long called home. Her experience as a late-diagnosed neurodivergent adult continues to shape her commitment to inclusive, developmentally informed community support.

Hillary Greenwood

Founding Secretary

Hillary Greenwood

Hillary Greenwood brings more than 15 years of experience in healthcare sustainability, engagement strategy, and collaborative programming. Her work has supported health systems and cross-sector partners in building people-centered experiences that advance meaningful change.

As Founding Secretary, Hillary supports Seven Generations Collective’s commitment to stewardship, accountability, and inclusive community-building. Her perspective as a mother, including parenting a neurodivergent child, informs her dedication to advocacy, empathy, and supportive communities.

Emily Smith

Founding Treasurer

Emily Smith

Emily Smith brings experience in accounting, banking, insurance, finance, and real estate. After earning her degree in Accounting from Ferris State University, she built a career helping individuals and families make informed, confident financial decisions.

As Founding Treasurer, Emily supports Seven Generations Collective through financial stewardship, attention to detail, and a commitment to responsible growth. Her background in finance and client-centered service strengthens the organization’s focus on accountability, integrity, and long-term sustainability.

Emily has called the Dowagiac area home since 2009 and enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and two daughters.
